## Join Our Team: Coffee Industrial Trainee Program
We are currently seeking ambitious professionals to join our Coffee Industrial Trainee program. This role provides comprehensive, end-to-end exposure to our coffee manufacturing operations. Designed to build a robust foundation in safety, quality, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance, this program ensures you are practically prepared for long-term success in agro-processing roles.
Key Focus Areas and Responsibilities
As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience across several critical functions:
* Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE): Champion workplace safety by adhering to PPE standards, Life Saving Rules, and LOTO procedures. You will actively participate in HIRA studies, risk assessments, and the implementation of essential engineering controls.
* Mill Operations: Master the intricacies of milling machinery, including startup, shutdown, and sanitation protocols. You will support food safety frameworks, including HACCP, OPRP, CCP, and EUDR compliance requirements.
* Warehouse Operations: Oversee daily loading and dispatch cycles. Key tasks include maintaining FIFO inventory standards, warehouse safety, meticulous housekeeping, and supporting weighbridge calibration.
* Quality Assurance: Develop your expertise in coffee specifications, sensory evaluation, and cupping. You will assist in blending optimization and maintaining compliance with FSSC 22000 standards.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive operational excellence by supporting 5S, TPM, and Six Sigma initiatives. You will utilize data visualization tools like Power BI to assist in waste reduction and efficiency projects.
* Engineering Projects: Gain experience in project lifecycle management, from tracking Gantt charts and project scoping to coordinating with external vendors and contractors.
## Candidate Requirements
To excel in this role, we look for candidates who possess both technical proficiency and a proactive mindset:
1. Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Food, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
2. Technical Knowledge: A solid grasp of manufacturing environments, food safety principles (HACCP, CCP, PRP), and mass balance principles.
3. Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English is essential for collaborative success.
4. Digital Competency: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required. Familiarity with or an eagerness to learn data visualization tools like Power BI is highly valued.
