# Strengthening Global Supply Chains: The Strategic Role of PT Adaro Logistics

PT Adaro Logistics (AL) serves as the primary engine driving the logistics infrastructure of the Adaro Group. By meticulously managing the coal supply chain—from initial extraction at the mine to final delivery at power plants—AL ensures that every movement remains cost-effective, efficient, and reliable. Founded to guarantee that coal shipments reach customers precisely according to agreed-upon schedules, quality standards, and technical specifications, AL has spent seven years building a robust foundation in the logistics sector.

Beyond its core function of moving coal, AL handles a comprehensive suite of maritime services, including barge operations, ship loading, river channel maintenance, stevedoring, and specialized shipyard management. As a vital pillar in Adaro’s strategy to diversify beyond mining, AL is aggressively expanding its integrated logistics capabilities, leveraging its operational scale to capture a broader market and increase revenue streams through modernized, highly efficient internal processes.
